AI ebook creator

Create an ebook that is properly written and properly packaged

AIBookWriter takes an ebook from first draft to EPUB file: chapters in your voice, a whole-book review, a cover, store copy and preflight checks before you export.

Why ebooks collect bad reviews

Ebooks are easy to publish, which is exactly why so many go out before they are ready.
  • Formatting that falls apart

Hard line breaks in the middle of sentences, missing chapter breaks and a table of contents that goes nowhere.

  • Prose that reads as generated

Readers recognize default AI phrasing quickly, and they say so in their reviews.

  • No edit before release

Typos and plot holes that one careful read of the whole book would have caught.

  • A listing that does not sell

A vague blurb, no keywords and a cover that cannot be read at thumbnail size.

From draft to EPUB

Every stage of an ebook, in one project.
  1. Write or import

Draft chapters with AI in your voice, or import a Word manuscript of up to 200,000 words for free.

  2. Review the whole book

A score, an editorial letter, chapter pacing notes and line edits, at 15 credits per 1,000 words, once per book.

  3. Write the listing

Generate a blurb, keywords and categories from the book itself.

  4. Make the cover

Generate an AI cover for 30 credits, or explore styles first with the free cover generator.

  5. Format and check

On the Pro plan, export the EPUB, with DOCX and Markdown alongside. Preflight checks flag problems before you export.

  6. Publish or upload

Upload the EPUB to the stores you use, or publish a book page with free sample chapters on Pro.

What a clean ebook needs

The pieces that decide whether an ebook gets finished or abandoned.
  • EPUB export

The standard ebook format, generated from your chapters rather than pasted into a template. Part of the Pro plan.

  • Preflight checks

Problems are flagged before export instead of being discovered by readers.

  • A cover that works small

Generate covers for 30 credits each, and judge them at thumbnail size before you choose.

  • Store copy from the book

A blurb, keywords and categories generated from what the ebook actually contains.

  • Cheap corrections

Formatting costs 200 credits once per book. Fix a typo after launch and export again for free.

  • Other formats

DOCX from Plus and Markdown on every plan for editors and other tools, plus a print-ready PDF on Pro for a paperback edition.

Ebooks you can make here

  • A reader magnet

A novella or short story to give away in exchange for an email address.

  • A guide for clients

A short non-fiction ebook that answers the questions your customers keep asking, citing your own material.

  • A first novel

A full-length ebook for the online stores, with a paperback edition later if it finds readers.

  • A story collection

Short stories gathered into one ebook, each one its own chapter.

  • A translated edition

An existing ebook translated into a new linked book for another language market, on Pro.

Using an ebook to build a mailing list

An ebook does not have to be sold to be useful. Giving part of a book away and asking for an email address for the rest is a long-standing way for authors to find readers they can reach again.

AIBookWriter's publishing step is built for that. On the Pro plan you get an author page and a page for each book. The book page shows free sample chapters, and readers who want to keep going leave their email address to unlock more.

Once someone signs up, the distribution tools help you follow through:

Two practical notes. First, the free sample has to stop at a point where the reader wants more. A chapter that resolves everything is a poor place to end; a chapter that opens a question is a good one. Second, the blurb on the book page does the same job as a store blurb, so give it the same care, or generate a few versions and choose the strongest.

Questions about creating an ebook

What file does it produce for ebook stores?

EPUB, the standard format for ebook stores and most reading apps. EPUB export is part of the Pro plan, along with a print-ready PDF with trim sizes and themes for a paperback edition; DOCX is available from Plus and Markdown on every plan. Preflight checks flag problems before you export, so you are not relying on readers to find them.

Do I need to know anything about ebook formatting?

No. The EPUB is built from your chapters, so you do not hand-code line breaks or chapter headings, and preflight checks point out problems before export. Formatting costs 200 credits once per book, and exporting again after you fix something is free, which makes late corrections cheap.

Can I sell the ebook on Amazon and other stores?

Yes. You keep all rights, and the EPUB is yours to upload to the stores you choose. Uploading, pricing and submission happen on each store's own site. For Amazon, the free royalty calculator estimates ebook royalties by list price, file size and marketplace.

How long should my ebook be?

As long as the content needs. A reader magnet can be a single short story; a guide or a novel is usually much longer. Set the chapter count in Basics and a target word count per chapter, and use the free word counter to check length and reading time.

Can I create the ebook in another language?

Yes. Books can be written in more than 30 languages. If you already have the ebook in one language, the Pro plan can translate the whole book, including chapters, characters, outline and metadata, into a new linked edition without changing the original.

What does it cost to create an ebook?

Drafting costs 15, 20 or 30 credits per chapter depending on the model tier, a cover costs 30 credits and formatting costs 200 credits once. The Free plan starts with 100 credits and has the AI write chapter one. EPUB export is part of Pro, which includes 5,000 credits a month for $30 a month billed yearly.

Turn your draft into an ebook

Write it, review it, give it a cover and export a clean EPUB, all in one project.
