Author pagePro plan

One page for you, your books and your readers

Your author page shows your bio, photo and links beside every book you've made public, and it keeps a list of readers who want to hear from you. It's part of the Pro plan.

How your author page comes together

There's no website to design. You fill in a profile, and your published books fill in the rest.
  1. Write your profile

Add the name readers know you by, a short bio and an avatar. Stuck on the bio? The free author bio tool drafts short, medium and long versions for you to edit.

  2. List where else to find you

List your website, newsletter, social profiles or store pages, so one address leads to everywhere you are.

  3. Publish your books

Every book you set to public appears on the page with a link to its book page. Books you keep private stay off it.

  4. Switch the page on

Set the page to public when it's ready. Hide it again whenever you like; a hidden page shows nothing, its books included.

What the page does

Everything a reader needs after finishing one of your books: who you are, what else you've written, and how to hear about the next one.
  • Bio and avatar

Tell readers who you are and what you write, in your own words and with your own photo or illustration.

  • Your links in one place

Website, newsletter, social accounts and stores. Add the links that matter and leave out the rest.

  • Books listed for you

Make a book public and it joins the page. Make it private and it leaves. There's nothing else to update.

  • A reader list you can take with you

Readers who sign up on your book pages join your list. Export it as a CSV file and use it with any email service.

  • Consent kept with each sign-up

Every sign-up stores the wording the reader agreed to, and every reader can unsubscribe.

  • A visibility switch

Public or hidden, changed whenever you like, for the page and everything on it.

One address readers can remember

Readers find authors in scattered ways: a book on a store shelf, a post a friend shared, a mention in someone else's newsletter. When they go looking for more, they need one place that answers three questions quickly. Who is this author? What else have they written? How do I hear about the next book?

Your author page answers all three. The bio and avatar cover the first. The book list covers the second, and it updates on its own: every book you make public in AIBookWriter appears on the page, and taking a book private removes it. The reader list covers the third. When readers leave their email on one of your book pages, for example to keep reading past the free chapter, they join your list, and you can export it as a CSV file whenever you want to write to them through your email service.

Because the page lives where you write, there's no website builder to learn and nothing to keep patched. Edit your bio or links and the page reflects the change. Hide the page while you prepare a launch, then switch it back on when you're ready.

The author page is part of the Pro plan, together with book pages, print-ready formatting, translation and audiobooks. Ultra includes it too. See pricing for the current plans.

Ways to use your author page

  • The link in every bio

Put the page address in your social profiles, email signature and back matter so readers always land in the same place.

  • A shelf for a growing backlist

Each new public book appears next to your earlier titles, so a reader who finds one book sees the rest.

  • A newsletter that starts with readers

Free sample chapters on your book pages invite sign-ups. Export the list and write to readers from the email tool you already use.

  • A page for press and events

Send podcasts, bookstores and event organizers to one page with your bio, photo and books.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan includes the author page?

The author page is part of the Pro plan and is included in Ultra. Pro costs $30 a month billed yearly or $37 month to month and comes with 5,000 credits a month. Book pages, print-ready PDF and EPUB formatting, translation and audiobooks are part of the same plan.

Which books show up on my author page?

Only the books you've made public. Each book has its own public/private switch, and private books never appear on the author page. When you change a book's visibility, the list follows automatically, so there's nothing to edit by hand when you launch a new title or take an old one down.

How does the reader email list work?

Readers who leave their email on your book pages, for example to unlock more sample chapters, join your reader list. You can export the list as a CSV file at any time and import it into the email service you use for newsletters. Each sign-up keeps the consent wording the reader saw, and readers can unsubscribe.

Can I hide my author page?

Yes. The page has a visibility switch. While it's hidden, visitors can't see the page or the books listed on it. Switch it back to public when you're ready, for example once your bio is finished or on the day a new book launches. Hiding the page doesn't delete anything.

Do I need my own website?

No. The author page is hosted by AIBookWriter, so there's nothing to install, update or pay a web host for. If you already have a website, add it as one of your links and let the author page handle your book list and reader sign-ups.

What should my bio say?

A few sentences on what you write, why readers might enjoy it, and one or two personal details that suit your genre. Keep achievements real. The free author bio generator drafts short, medium and long versions from your notes and doesn't invent credentials you don't have.
