For visual book creators
One look for every page of your comic, manga or picture book
Comics, manga, coloring books and picture books, built page by page with consistent characters, a single art style and print-ready PDFs with bleed. Visual books are part of the Pro plan.
Why illustrated books are hard to make
The difficulty isn't one picture. It's thirty pictures that belong together.Every picture made separately
Prompting each image on its own makes characters drift and styles clash.
Words here, pictures there
Writing in one program and illustrating in another means copying every change twice.
Screen art on paper
Art made for a screen often lacks the bleed a printer needs.
Formats with different needs
A comic page, a coloring page and a picture-book spread each call for a different approach.
How a visual book comes together
Visual books are planned around pages, characters and one art style.Choose the format
Comic, manga, coloring book, picture book, bedtime story, alphabet book or social story, with a trim size to match.
Fix the cast and the art style
Add reference images for each character and pick one art style for the book, such as comic ink, anime or manga, flat vector, or line art for coloring.
Make the pages
Write and illustrate page by page, choosing a single page or a spread each time.
Finish and export
Add a cover and metadata, then export a print PDF with bleed.
What's included

Formats you can make
Comics
Sequential stories with recurring characters drawn the same way on every page.
Manga
An anime or manga art style held across the whole book.
Coloring books
Line-art pages made for coloring, in one consistent style.
Picture books and bedtime stories
Short text and full-page art, with spreads for the moments that need room.
Alphabet books and social stories
Structured, page-by-page books for early readers and for helping children prepare for new situations.
Consistency is the whole job
Making one good illustration is easy now. Making thirty that belong in the same book is the hard part. Readers notice when a character's hair changes color between pages or when the line work shifts halfway through.
AIBookWriter's visual books are set up around consistency. Characters are defined once, with reference images. The art style is chosen once, for the whole book. Every page is then made with both in hand, whether it's a single page or a spread. When a page needs another attempt, you redo that page, not the book.
The text lives in the same place as the art. Change a line on page twelve and you're editing the book itself, not a copy in another program. When the pages are ready, the print PDF includes bleed, so art can run to the edge of the paper.
Visual books are part of the Pro plan, with 5,000 credits a month, and each visual page costs 20 credits. Ultra includes them too, with 25,000 credits a month. See pricing for the plans, or read about children's picture books for a closer look at that format.

Frequently asked questions
Which plan includes visual books?
Visual books are part of the Pro plan, which costs $30 a month billed yearly or $37 month to month and includes 5,000 credits a month. Ultra includes them with 25,000 credits a month. Each visual page costs 20 credits, and the price is shown before anything is generated.
How are characters kept consistent?
Each character is defined with reference images, and every page is illustrated from those references in the book's single art style. That keeps faces, outfits and proportions steady across pages. If one page drifts, redo just that page and leave the rest of the book as it is.
Can I make coloring books?
Yes. Choose the coloring book format and the line art style made for coloring. Pages come out as line drawings in one consistent style, and the print PDF is ready for your printer or print-on-demand service. Pick a trim size that matches the service you'll use.
Can I use two-page spreads?
Yes. Each page can be a single page or a two-page spread, chosen page by page. Spreads suit big reveals, landscapes and action scenes. The print PDF includes bleed, so spread art can run to the edges. Check your printer's guidance on how spreads cross the gutter.
Can I translate a comic or picture book?
Yes, on Pro. Translation creates a new linked book in one of 30+ languages, covering the text, characters and metadata, and leaves the original unchanged. For visual books, translation costs 30 credits plus 15 per page, and the price is shown before you start. The translated edition is its own book, so you can format and export it like the original.
Who owns the finished book?
Authors keep all rights to what they write in AIBookWriter, and you can export everything at any time. For the illustrations, check the rules of the stores where you publish, since some ask you to disclose AI-generated images when you upload a book. Rules differ between stores, so read each one's current terms.
