For fiction writers
Your novel, your voice, your decisions
AIBookWriter helps with the parts of a novel that take longest, from cast and outline to drafts and edits, while your writing sample sets the voice and your text is never overwritten.
What a novelist should expect from an AI tool
Speed is the least of it. A tool is only worth using if the book stays yours.Prose that sounds like you
Drafts should follow your rhythm and word choice, not a house style.
A cast that stays in character
People should want the same things and talk the same way in chapter twenty as in chapter two.
Changes on your terms
No draft should replace your text without asking.
A route to the last page
A plan that turns into chapters, and chapters that turn into a finished book.
How a novel comes together
Each step builds on the last, and you can go back to any of them.Concept and basics
Describe the story, then set the title, language, genres and chapter count.
Details & style
Audience, tone, writing style, point of view, tense, story elements and a writing sample of up to 20,000 characters.

What you can count on
The commitments that hold in every book, on every plan.Matched to your sample
Chapters follow the voice, rhythm and diction of your writing sample without reusing its content.
Characters with depth
Profiles hold motivation, conflicts, stakes, an arc and a way of speaking.
Six plot structures
Three-Act, Hero's Journey, Save the Cat, Seven-Point, Freytag's Pyramid and Kishōtenketsu, or your own.
Recaps for continuity
Each chapter AI writes is recapped, and later chapters are written against those recaps.

Use as much or as little AI as you like
Some novelists want a full first draft to react to. Others write every word themselves and want a sounding board for names, twists and the chapter that won't come right. AIBookWriter works either way, because every AI step is optional and nothing it produces lands in your manuscript without your say.
You can write the outline by hand and never generate a chapter. You can generate every chapter and then rewrite them line by line. You can do both in the same book, drafting the scenes you care about yourself and letting AI take a first pass at the chapters between them. A chapter written by AI picks up from the closing passage of the previous chapter, whoever wrote it.
What stays constant is control. AI drafts appear next to your version, to compare, use or discard. Edit suggestions apply only to the exact passage they were written for; if that passage has changed, the suggestion isn't applied. Every save is kept in the version history, and restoring an old version keeps the replaced text there too.
When you'd like an outside view, the whole-book review reads every chapter and returns a score, an editorial letter, pacing notes for each chapter and line edits you accept or reject one by one. It costs 15 credits per 1,000 words, once per book, and re-runs after revisions are free.

Frequently asked questions
Which genres does it support?
Suggestions include fantasy, science fiction, romance, mystery, thriller, horror, historical, literary, young adult, middle grade, contemporary, adventure, dystopian, paranormal, crime, western, humor, women's fiction and LitRPG, with subgenres for many of them. You can also type your own genre. Genres and subgenres shape the outline and the chapters.
How does it match my voice?
In Details & style, paste up to 20,000 characters of your own fiction. Chapters are written to match its voice, rhythm and diction without reusing its content. Point of view, tense, tone and style settings apply to every chapter, and the Literary tier gives the richest prose and subtext.
Can I write some chapters myself?
Yes. Write any chapter in the editor and generate only the ones you want help with. When AI writes the next chapter, it picks up from the closing passage of the previous one, whoever wrote it, and follows the outline card for its own chapter.
What happens if I change a character mid-book?
Edit the profile and the change applies to chapters written from then on. Chapters already written that feature the character are flagged, so you can decide whether each needs an update. Nothing is rewritten automatically. To revise a flagged chapter, select passages and ask for targeted edits, or generate a new draft to compare.
Is my manuscript private?
Your books are private unless you publish a book page, which is a per-book choice on the Pro plan. Even then, only the free first chapter, plus any chapters a reader has unlocked with an email, are sent to that reader's browser. Authors keep all rights to what they write.
Can I bring in a novel I've already started?
Yes. Import a .docx of up to 200,000 words for free. You check the chapter split before anything is saved, and an optional free AI pass recaps each chapter and suggests your premise, genres, style and characters, so new chapters can continue the story. Importing works on every plan.
