AI writer

An AI writer that learns how you write before it writes anything

Most AI writers have one voice and use it for everyone. AIBookWriter starts from a sample of your writing and your book's settings, and offers its drafts next to yours.

What kind of AI writer this is

“AI writer” covers a lot of software. Some tools write ad copy, some write emails, some answer questions. AIBookWriter is built for one job: long-form writing that ends up as a book.

That focus shapes everything. It writes chapters rather than paragraphs, keeps track of characters and an outline across the whole manuscript, and finishes with the things a book needs: an edit, a cover, store copy and formatted files. Fiction, non-fiction and illustrated books each have their own workflow.

It is honest to say what it is not for. If you need a product description or a cover letter, a general-purpose assistant will serve you better. If you are writing a book, or have a manuscript stuck halfway, the rest of this page is for you.

Short writing that belongs to a book is covered too. The standalone tools write blurbs, author bios, titles, scenes, dialogue and social posts for your book, with two free runs an hour and no account needed.

What goes wrong when AI writers meet long work

Four problems show up again and again once a piece of writing runs past a few pages.
  • It does not sound like you

A default voice, polished and interchangeable. Fine for a memo, wrong for a book with your name on it.

  • It edits without asking

You ask for help with one sentence and the whole paragraph comes back different.

  • It cannot hold a long piece

Somewhere past the first few chapters, names, timelines and motives start to slip.

  • It stops at the text

When the writing is done, the publishing work has not even started.

Teach it your voice in three moves

The first hour with a new book is where the voice gets set.
  1. Paste a sample

Up to 20,000 characters of your own writing, chosen to sound the way this particular book should sound.

  2. Set the dials

Audience, tone, writing style, point of view and tense, plus a speech note for each character.

  3. Check one chapter

Read the first drafted chapter against your own pages, adjust the sample or settings, then continue. On the Free plan, the AI writes chapter one for you.

How it stays out of your way

An AI writer should add options, not take decisions away from you.
  • Side-by-side drafts

AI text appears next to your version. Nothing is pasted over what you wrote.

  • Edits scoped to a passage

Select a passage and ask for a change; the suggestion applies to that passage only. Each chat edit costs 5 credits.

  • Version history

Every save is kept, so an experiment never puts your draft at risk.

  • Three model tiers

Swift, Balanced or Literary, at 15, 20 or 30 credits a chapter.

  • 30+ languages

Write in the language of your book: more than 30 are supported.

  • Export any time

Markdown whenever you want it, DOCX from Plus, and an EPUB and a print-ready PDF on Pro.

A general AI writer versus an AI writer for books

The difference is less about the model and more about what surrounds it.

Questions about the AI writer

Can it write in my style?

It can get close when you give it something to work from. Paste a writing sample of up to 20,000 characters, set tone, style, point of view and tense, and read the first chapter against your own work. The closer the sample is to the book you are writing, the closer the match will be.

Can I use it for things other than books?

It is designed around books: fiction, non-fiction and visual books, from outline to published files. The standalone tools cover the short writing that surrounds a book, such as blurbs, bios, press kits, email sequences and social posts. For general office writing, a general-purpose assistant is the better fit.

Does it change what I already wrote?

No. AI drafts are offered next to your version, edit suggestions apply only to the exact passage they were made for, and nothing is applied until you accept it. Every save is kept in version history, so you can always return to an earlier state of a chapter.

Which AI models does it use?

Chapters are written on three tiers, Swift, Balanced and Literary, which trade cost against polish at 15, 20 and 30 credits a chapter. You can pick a different tier for each chapter. On the Ultra plan you can also bring your own OpenRouter and ElevenLabs keys.

What languages can it write in?

More than 30. Set the book's language in Basics and chapters are written in that language. The interface is in English, and a finished book can be translated into a new linked edition on the Pro plan.

Is there a free version?

Yes. The Free plan costs nothing and includes 100 credits at sign-up, your first outline free and chapter one written by the AI. Paid plans start with Plus at $12 a month billed yearly, or $15 billed monthly, with 1,000 credits a month.
