AI book creator

Create a finished book, not just a pile of generated text

AIBookWriter takes a book from idea to cover, interior files and a page readers can visit. Choose fiction, non-fiction or a visual book and work through each stage in one project.

Choose what you are creating

  • A novel or novella

Characters with arcs and speech notes, a chapter-by-chapter outline on the plot structure you pick, and chapters drafted in your voice.

  • A non-fiction book

Three whole-book structures and three chapter templates, with chapters that cite the reference files you upload instead of inventing sources.

  • A picture book or comic

Visual books, part of the Pro plan, keep characters consistent with reference images and use one art style from the first page to the last.

  • A coloring, alphabet or bedtime book

The same page-by-page illustration workflow, for activity books, A-to-Z books and quiet stories for the end of the day.

  • A sequel

On Pro, add up to five earlier books as context so the new one remembers who everyone is and how things were left.

  • An edition in another language

On Pro, translate a finished book into more than 30 languages as a new, linked book, with the original left untouched.

Generated text is not a book yet

Plenty of tools will produce chapters. The gap between those chapters and something you can sell or give away is wider than it looks.
  • Tools built for quick text

Many AI tools are designed for short answers. A book needs a plan that holds across dozens of chapters and hundreds of pages.

  • Nobody reads the whole thing

Pacing problems, repeated scenes and dropped subplots only show up when something reads the book from start to finish.

  • The cover and listing are separate jobs

A blurb, keywords, categories and a cover sized for print are where many books stall, because each one lives in a different tool.

  • Formatting is a maze

Trim sizes, spine widths and ebook files take time to learn, and getting them wrong pushes the launch back.

How a book gets created here

One project carries the book from the first idea to the files you upload.
  1. Plan

Write the concept, set the basics, define audience, tone and style, then build characters and a chapter outline. The AI can draft any of it, or you can write it yourself.

  2. Draft

Chapters stream in on the model tier you choose. Write them one by one or let the AI write all remaining chapters in a batch.

  3. Review

A whole-book review returns a score, an editorial letter, pacing notes for each chapter and line edits you accept or reject.

  4. Package

Generate the blurb, keywords and categories, and design an AI cover. Paperback covers get a spine width calculated for you.

  5. Format and publish

Export Markdown on any plan and DOCX from Plus. On Pro, add an EPUB and a print-ready PDF in your chosen trim size and theme, and publish a book page with free sample chapters.

What you have when the project is done

These are the pieces in hand at the end, all built from the same book.
  • The manuscript

Every chapter, with full version history and nothing overwritten by the AI along the way.

  • A cover

An AI-generated cover for 30 credits, with the spine width worked out for paperback editions.

  • Store copy

A blurb, keywords and categories written from what the book actually contains.

  • Interior files

On Pro, an EPUB for ebook stores and a print-ready PDF in your trim size and theme; DOCX from Plus and Markdown on every plan for anything else. Preflight checks run before export.

  • A book page

On Pro, an author page and a page for the book, with free sample chapters and an email sign-up for readers who want more.

  • Launch material

Social posts, email sequences, a press kit and review requests built from the book itself.

Where the AI helps and where you lead

A book creator is only useful if it saves you time without taking the book away from you. Here is how the work tends to divide.

The AI is good at volume. Turning a chapter card with beats and a hook into a first draft, suggesting twenty titles, writing three versions of a blurb, generating a cast you can react to. These are the jobs that eat weeks.

You are better at judgment. Which subplot matters, what the ending should cost the hero, which of the twenty titles fits. AIBookWriter keeps those decisions with you: drafts appear next to your text, edits apply only to the passage you chose, and every save is kept.

Some steps are mechanical. Calculating a spine width, setting a trim size, producing an EPUB and checking it before export. The software handles these so you do not have to learn them from scratch for every book.

A sensible first project is a short one. Try a novella, a slim non-fiction guide or a short picture book, and take it all the way to exported files. You will learn the whole path once, and the second book goes faster because of it.

Questions about creating a book with AI

What kinds of books can I create?

Fiction, non-fiction and educational books, and visual books: picture books, comics, manga, coloring books, alphabet books, bedtime stories and social stories. Each type has its own workflow, so a non-fiction guide is planned around structures and sources, while a picture book is planned and illustrated page by page.

Do I need design skills?

No. Covers are generated from a description of the book, paperback spine widths are calculated for you, and the print-ready PDF uses a trim size and theme you pick from a list. You can still change anything you do not like, and preflight checks flag problems before you export the files.

Can I create a book in a language other than English?

Yes. Books can be written in more than 30 languages; the interface itself is in English. On the Pro plan you can also translate a finished book into another language as a new linked book.

How much does it cost to create a book?

It depends on length and on what you use. Drafting costs 15 to 30 credits per chapter depending on the model tier, a cover costs 30 credits, and formatting costs 200 credits once per book, with free re-exports. The Free plan includes 100 credits at sign-up; Plus has 1,000 credits a month and Pro has 5,000.

Is the finished book mine to sell?

Yes. You keep all rights to what you write, and you can export the project whenever you like. Selling is up to you: upload the files to the stores you choose, or, on Pro, publish a book page on AIBookWriter with free sample chapters and an email sign-up for readers.

Can I bring in a book I have already started?

Yes. Import a Word (.docx) manuscript of up to 200,000 words for free. Chapters are detected automatically and you check them before the import runs. An optional AI pass fills in characters and a story bible, so the rest of the workflow has something to work with from the start.

Take one book all the way through

Start on the Free plan with 100 credits and your first outline free. When the book is ready, the files are yours.
