AIBookWriter vs Scrivener

Scrivener is a desktop writing app for long manuscripts with no built-in AI generation; AIBookWriter adds AI planning, drafting and review. When each fits best.

The short version

Scrivener, from Literature & Latte, is a desktop writing app for long projects such as novels, nonfiction and scripts. Its main tools are the binder, corkboard and outliner, which organize a manuscript and its research, and Compile, which turns the project into formats such as DOCX, PDF and EPUB. It doesn’t include built-in AI text generation: every word is yours to write. AIBookWriter is a web app that uses AI to help plan, write, edit, format and publish books, in the author’s own voice.
